The Cape Town World Cinema Festival (incorporating Sithengi) appoints a new Chairperson

The Chief Executive of the National Film and Video Foundation, Mr. Eddie Mbalo has been appointed as the Chairperson of Cape Town World Cinema Festival (incorporating Sithengi) during a board meeting that took place in Johannesburg on 28 April 2005.

Mbalo's appointment comes after a restructuring process which sought to consolidate the constitution of Sithengi as a means to ensure that funders and investors in the board have an active role in directing policies of Sithengi as an institution. The NFVF has always been a supporter of the CTWF and Mr. Mbalo has been a member of the board for the past two years.

"It is an honour for me to take over the Chairmanship of the board. This position comes with a lot of responsibility and I am certain that I will assume my role with a clear vision that will take CTWCF to the next phase", says Eddie Mbalo.
