The Product Market is the leading business space for independent filmmakers attending the Sithengi Film & TV Market. It is the place where program buyers and other delegates, attending the Market and Festival, can view completed projects.
It consists of the following:
- Market Screenings
- Product Library
Market Screenings
- Market Screenings allow filmmakers to screen their films to an individual buyer or a larger audience
- For these screenings, filmmakers can invite buyers, their peers or any registered delegate to a viewing
- The responsibility of inviting delegates to a screening rests entirely with the filmmakers showcasing their products. Sithengi will however assist by publishing the product in the special Market Screening Guide
- 3 X A2 Posters of your film (provided by you) will be allowed to be put up in spaces determined by Sithengi management in the Market venue
- The Criteria for submitting a product for a Market Screening are:

- Applicants must pay a registration fee of R1 600 per screening
- Applicants may invite a maximum of 60 Sithengi Members/Delegates/Daypass registrants to the screening
- The product must be submitted in either Digital/Beta/VHS/DVD format
- Products have to be submitted by 30 September 2006 in order to qualify for inclusion into the Market Guide
Product Library
- The Product Library is an alternative to Market Screenings
- The Product Library is digitalised, which means that all entries received on DVD or VHS will be transformed digitally and uploaded onto the Product Library Digital System
- If the fee for a Market Screening is beyond a filmmaker's budget, Sithengi will ensure that at a digitalized copy is held on Sithengi's Product Library system for the duration of the full four days of Sithengi
- All products kept in the product library will be available for viewing on demand in special booths
- The marketing and promotion of your film will be your responsibility, but we will publish your film in the Sithengi Market Guide
- However, due to space limitation we must limit you to only 1 poster (supplied by you) per product submitted
- The Criteria for submitting a product to the Product Library are as follows:

- The product must be submitted in either VHS/DVD format
- Products have to be submitted by 30th September 2006 in order to be included onto the Product Library Digital System.
